I am the youngest daughter of Bernard Redvers Houseman and Elizabeth Harrison. If anyone has any info on the Harrison family I would be grateful. My mother's dad was William Harrison and her mother was Ivy Kirtley

Hello!
My grandfather is Albert Houseman. He has extensive history on our last name going back to the late 1700's when George Houseman was the first settler in the Town of Yates, New York. I am curious if this George Houseman is the son of George born in Yorkshire, England?

I am researching the Skaife family that emigrated to the U.S.A. in about 1850 to the S. W. Wisconsin town of potosi. From my research, I believe that I am a relative of the Houseman Family. I would like to hear from any relative from the Yorkshire area to converse.

Thanks,

Fred Skaife

I stumbled across this website and thought I'd sign the guestbook. My grandfather is Harry Albert Houseman and he is the son of Harold Earl Houseman and Helen Marjorie Lear.

My grandfather was born in Philadelphia in 1919 and later his family relocated to Laconia, NH. Both Harry and his brother Richard served in WWII. Harry was a waist machine gunner on a B17 bomber and survived over 30 missions. While his brother served in Italy as an Army Ranger.

The farthest we can trace our ancestry back is to a Thomas Houseman from England. I'm unsure if the Thomas Houseman on this site is one in the same. Nevertheless, my younger brother is named Thomas in his honor.

In 1922 my great grandfather Harold Earl Houseman dedicated a masonic lodge to his father Harry A. Houseman outside of Philadelphia that is still in existence today (lodge #717) although not in the same location.

Please contact me if any of this dovetails into your branch of the Houseman family tree.

Hello,
I am in high school at this time and my family history has really struck my interest. Cousins of mine created a family history book but they could only trace as far back as Duran Houseman, who married Mary Whitney Houseman. They could not trace his parents or any siblings. I'm hoping this site gives me the answers.

Gary,
What an incredible Website. Congratulations to all involved. I have now been able to find the necessary link for Rena Bell who married William Houseman in 1940. Keep up the fantastic work. Dimity
